♥♥♥ Love is Listening with Your Heart ♥♥♥

Last month I talked about choosing the attitude of gratitude, acceptance, and understanding to help you to have more love in your life. This month I would like to add one more element to this mix bag of goodies. Listening with your Heart. Yes, listening with your heart is a key element in giving and receiving love and feeling that we are lovable. It has been said, God gave us two ears and one mouth and one heart for a reason. I believe he gave us these so we can love fully! When we are using our mouths, we can send out love to others by speaking loving words. God also gave us two ears which acts as the receivers of those loving words. Our ears are one of the ways we receive love- transmit that loving information to our hearts which are our feelings and love centers. In turn, at that point, we remember the truth of who we are- whole perfect and complete and lovable!

Listening with our hearts allows the giver and receiver to feel the love. I know of all of you have experienced that love exchange at least one time in your life. When we are listening with our hearts – there is no need for judgement or trying to fix or control anyone. Listening with your heart will support your ability to accept and understand where the other person is coming from. When you do that, they will feel the love and you will be at peace giving it. Let the circle of love flow! Next time a friend or family member comes up to you to share something important with you- be quiet- open up your heart and just listen and see what happens. I am sure you both will simply love it!

***October’s Joyful Tip

Play the *”Wouldn’t it be wonderful if….. Game” with your friends and your family. This game will support everyone in opening up their hearts to listen to what is possible in their own lives. It also puts all that negative mind clatter on the shelf for a while.
Here is how you play- turn off the TV- computer or anything that is distracting. Playing this game after a meal is a fun, bonding event. You will be surprised on what is shared. When our hearts are open, our hearts’ desires will come to the surface. Listening to everyone’s respective shares will help activate your own truth and desires. Joy- Joy- Joy!
Rules of play-
—Everyone takes a turn sharing their “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if…. ( something you would like to have happen to you or a love one- keep it positive) i.e. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if…..I was able to have a new red Mustang convertible or a vacation in Hawaii.
—No one is allowed to comment negatively on the other person’s share.
—Play it as long as you wish- The more often you play the easier it will be to share what you would like to have or do or be.

***October’s Joyful Tip for the Work Place

Play another version of the “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if…” Game on the way to work or when you first get to work. This game will help you set your intentions for the day. Here are the two ways you can play it. First way- on your way to work- say out loud, for example -Wouldn’t it be wonderful if…..traffic just flowed quickly to work today and I got to work 5 minutes early so I could sit and have a peaceful cup of coffee before I get started. Continue until you went over all the things you would like to happen for you that day. Another way is to get to work a few minutes early and write on the top of a piece of paper- Wouldn’t it be wonderful if…Then make a list of things you would like to happen that day. Like Wouldn’t it be wonderful if… my meeting with my first client ended in a sale. Continue until you have covered your complete to-do list. Take that extra few minutes to set your high vibrating intentions for the day by playing that game- let me know how it goes?

❥ Remember “Love for Peace” in your life and in our world!

Peace Begets Peace

Friday, September 11th, 2009

I would like to share an experience I had yesterday at the Monterey Airport. I arrived at the airport in a very beautiful peaceful place. My mind was quiet and at peace. I was well into being imperturbable. I had just spent a week in Monterey, CA at a release retreat presented by a gentleman named Larry Crane. I spent the week letting go of emotional ego-based junk in my mind through an easy and simple technique. After the retreat, I was going home and was at the airport with a fellow retreat participant named John. While going through security we saw there we two machines where our items were scanned but only one when machine for the passengers to screened. Needless to say, the line for everyone to pass through became bottlenecked. There was some pushing and shoving from several people. Meanwhile John and I just stood there in line being very peaceful just waiting for things to clear. The female Security guard was getting frustrated and kept demanding- “For everyone to stay behind the line”, in a very loud gruff voice. Her demeanor was quiet Gestapo-like. Once the passenger passed through she continued to give them a hard time. Then it was my turn I walked through and handed her my boarding pass and she looked it looked up and me and smiled and said “Thank You Vicki” I said you are welcome and went to retrieve my things. John walked through and she said” thank you John” to him and then continued with the next person in line and she did not seem to be as angry. John and I both laughed as we saw what happened. In fact a friend of his from Monterey who happened to be on our same flight and was not part of the retreat-who went through before us said the gal said nothing nice to her. This really made us laugh.

It just proved to me – that when I am at peace I have the ability to pass it on to a complete stranger and change their response to the world. My conclusion is that Peace begets Peace. If a large number of people became peaceful- then through the theory of the “tipping point” we could have peace in the world and we all could live as one- just like the song, Imagine, by the Beatles.

From the Desk of Joyologist – Vicki Kallman

Aloha Readers,

I have heard back from many of my readers and they are saying they are using the Joyful Tips of the month and are experiencing more joy and love in their lives. That warms my heart. Even my husband has been reading my joyful tips. Unexpectedly, one morning last week he brought me a lovely cup of coffee while I was getting ready for the day! HA! And you know, it really did set a loving tone for the rest of my day. Remember– Love is the Answer!

Joyful Reminder — my “Joy–Up Your Life” Workshops will be every Wednesday night in October. October 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Place for Miracles Church at 2160 West Charleston Suite C, Las Vegas, NV 89102 (The same parking lot as the Omelet House) No need to attend all of the workshops to get a great benefit. Love is an Attitude of Gratitude, Acceptance, and Understanding.

Love is also an attitude of gratitude, acceptance, and understanding. Choosing to have these attitudes will guarantee you more love and joy throughout your day. All of these attitudes come from our Beingness– who we really are- Love. These 3 attitudes feed our soul and spirit. When our souls are fed by these loving attitudes, we are taking those around us and ourselves closer to love.

Think about it for a moment. When you are in gratitude for someone or something- how do you feel? How do you feel when you stop trying to change something or someone and you just accept it all? Now, how do you feel when you feel that someone understands what you are saying and he or she tells you so? Or you understand someone else’s side of an issue without any need for judgment? When I am choosing these 3 loving attitudes – I get filled up with joy and peace and brings me closer to love. Thus my life becomes so easy and it just flows.

When we are in the attitude that you are wrong and I am right- where does that take us? When we want to change our loved ones and want to control their every choice, what place does that take that person and us? Now what if we refuse to understand the other side of an argument. Where does that take us? Those attitudes take us away from love and who we really are. That is why one does not fill up with love and peace with those attitudes. Those attitudes are run by our egos. The ego always takes us further away from lasting love and joy. We might get a fleeting feeling of what we think is love and joy- but it cannot last. Don’t take my word for it. Think back to a situation when you were in one of the “got to be right” attitudes- it really became a hollow victory- didn’t it? This not a judgment exercise- this is just an awareness exercise. If we become aware of the unproductive value of these ego attitudes, then we can change them.

****September Joyful Tips

This month give the gift of love through the attitudes of gratitude, acceptance, and understanding. Do this by first choosing the attitude of gratitude for everything in your day. Be grateful! Secondly, choose to accept people and situations instead of trying to change them. It takes less effort to accept then to change. Someone once said to me, “Let go of trying to change someone, so they can do what you want them to do.” Lastly, be more understanding- drop your judgment and listen more often instead of talking. Really hear what the other person is saying. It takes less energy to listen than to talk. Let go your ego attitudes and embrace the loving attitudes and watch your life have more meaning and peace.

****September’s Joyful Tips for the Work Place
At work, when you make your to-do list, arrange the items to be accomplished in a less resistant order. That is put them in an order that creates a more joyful flow to your workday. Have the first item on your list be something you like to do or want to do. Like, for instance, call your favorite client and see if they need anything. For the second item on your list, put down an item that you have a little resistance on- for example- checking in with a disagreeable co-worker who is working with you on a project. Then for item 3, go back to doing something you like to do or have no resistance on completing. Item 4 again will be something you resist doing. By alternating agreeable and easier tasks with disagreeable and more resistant tasks throughout your workday will give you more energy and allow you to experience more peace and joy at work.

Remember “Love for Peace” in your life and in our world!
